In today’s Happy Half Hour, Erin Chambers Smith and Troy Johnson along with producer Archana Ram share the top dining and drinking stories around town, including the newly revamped Milagro Farm Vineyards & Winery in Ramona, which recently debuted a new 2,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor tasting room. On the caffeine front: East Village café Copa Vida will open two new locations and Holy Matcha will bring the trendy green tea drink to North Park soon.

For the day’s hot topics, we discuss a PETA campaign claiming that beer is healthier than milk and a recent finding that the sugar industry lied to us 50 years ago and blamed fat for health problems. Not so sweet.

Then Nate Benedetto of Next Wave Commercial and Urbanist Guide stops by (with snacks from Crack Shack!) to talk about how he finds and develops spaces for chefs.
