The Chula Vista Nature Center is holding its Where the Wild Things Are Food & Wine Classic at the Nature Center this Saturday, May 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. to benefit the nonprofit nature center’s animals, exhibits, and programs, as well as the development of a new outdoor classroom and discovery park.

Chefs Jeff Rossman (Terra American Bistro), Michael McDonald (Top of the Market), Deborah Scott (Indigo Grill, Island Prime/C Level, Chop Sooey), and Joe Busalacchi (Busalacchi’s and Via Lago) will lead live cooking demos. There will also be samplings of dozens of local restaurants, wineries, and breweries. And, of course, you’ll get up close and personal with some of the resident animals at the Nature Center. General admission tickets are $75 and may be purchased online.
