Frank Sinatra's memorabilia is on display at the Coronado Public Library, in an exhibit entitled That's Life, through September 28.

August 23:

The King of Pop lives on through the San Diego Symphony’s Summer Pops performance of The Music of Michael Jackson. $18 and up.

August 24:

It’s lions, tigers, and dragons, oh my, as Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents four days of The Greatest Show on Earth. $17 and up.

Now that Comic-Con is long gone, we’ll say "cheers" to Beer-Con, a two-day craft beer conference. $119 and up.

Get set for next month’s Wild West Bonitafest with the Bonitafest Benefit Dinner and silent auction at the Bonita Golf Club.

August 25:

Hike up your skirt, hop in the barrel, and celebrate the harvest at the Orfila Grape Stomp in Escondido. $85.

Drink and eat to your heart’s content at the Chula Vista Rotary Wine and Food Festival at Otay Ranch Town Center.

Chef Simon Dolinky of Saltbox will show guests how to turn the late-summer ingredient, corn, into crowd pleasing dishes and even work into cocktails at the Simon Says cooking class. $20

August 26:

Celebrate booze at its best during the two-day San Diego Spirits Festival at the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier. $20 and up.

Athletes take to the Imperial Beach Pier for the Surftown Triathlon and Duathlon.
