Shopping Alert: H&M Lands in Temecula Today

When the ever-expanding clothing chain H&M reaches as far as Temecula, you know they've entered into world domination. And lest you think they're another Forever 21 or Old Navy, think again. Their latest celeb collab is with Versace, and fashion darlings like Selma Blair turned out at the launch in New York City last week. Wish we'd been there.

Back to Temecula.

H&M will be celebrating the grand opening of their new store at the Promenade in Temecula today. The event starts at noon, and the first 200 customers in line will score an H&M tee and an "Access to Fashion Pass"—a gift card worth somewhere between $10-300. There will also be other giveaways. Oh—and there will be fashion.

This H&M location will offer clothing and accessories for men and women, plus lingerie, swimwear, baby gear, childrenswear, teen, and maternity.

Not familiar with the brand? The looks tend to be more edgy, so if you dress 100 percent preppy, you might have to open your mind a little. However: if you dream of living in NYC or if you DIY most of your wardrobe; if you work in P.R., publishing, or you sing in a band; if you're punky, hipstery, villagey...or you like the flashy, resortweariness of Versace...hit up H&M. The store can be hit-or-miss: sometimes you'll love everything and sometimes you won't find anything. So go early and often. Here's the addy:
