Salute the Real Heroes: San Diego's Nursing Professionals

San Diego Magazine is excited to launch Hearts of Nursing, a nomination-based, community-wide award celebration that honors nursing professionals for their compassion, sacrifice, fortitude, positive demeanor and unwavering dedication to human life, which coincides perfectly with recent announcement by the World Health Organization that 2020 will be the "Year of the Nurse."

Nomination period: January 6, 2020 through February 28, 2020

To ensure impartiality, the judges will not be provided the name of nominees or their hospital affiliation.

Eligible candidates need to be a registered nurse in good standing and affiliated with one of the following health systems: Kaiser Permanente, Scripps Health, Sharp HealthCare, Palomar Health or Rady Children’s Hospital.

Finalists, family members, friends, and colleagues are invited to the Hearts of Nursing awards in May. Enjoy live entertainment, bites and sips while networking with the best and brightest in the nursing community, from educators and direct care practitioners to leaders in the field.
