200 fine artists will show and sell their work on August 10 and 11 at Arts District Liberty Station’s beautiful Ingram Plaza, surrounding a rose garden. Art mediums include sculpture, paintings, fine jewelry and more, representing a wide range of styles and price ranges. The easy-to-navigate festival is produced by the same team well-known for Mission Federal ArtWalk in Little Italy. The summer event has been welcomed as a more intimate art experience, featuring some of your favorites and many newcomers.
With an upscale vibe, live music, street food, and a shaded wine and beer pavilion, this is a must-do event for August! New this year…wear or bring jeans, tennis shoes, bags, etc. The ArtWalk team will embellish them, a la Jackson Pollock. Be ready to connect with your inner artist, with several interactive art activities including the popular KidsWalk area featuring art projects offered by local art education organizations.
All of ArtWalk San Diego events support the activities of the non-profit ArtReach which takes visual art lessons into schools, county-wide that have no other resources for art education. Beverage sales at festival’s wine and beer pavilion supports ArtReach.
While at Liberty Station, you’ll want to visit working art studios, fantastic dining spots and enjoy the availability of abundant free parking.
Art lovers are also invited to volunteer to help with the festival. Sign up online here.
