This Palm Springs fixture is a great choice for classic Mexican fare & margaritas in a festive setting with a patio. The in-house made hot sauce called Salsa Doña Diabla, its name derived from a legendary 1950 Mexican film starring the beautiful Maria Felix, delivers a big palate of flavors well suited to its fiery name.

Evzin Palm Springs

Hip destination for Mediterranean fare. "EVZIN" means to live well. That is the very essence of this restaurant, a family style serving with the freshest ingredients cooked to perfection like a Mediterranean home cooked meal. Great selection of vegetarian options.

El Jefe

1800 E Palm Canyon Dr.

Tequila & Mexican street food served in a rustic, stylish cocktail bar at the colorful Saguaro on the corner of Sunrise. The communal seating, reclaimed wood-paneled walls, and rustic atmosphere is inspired by Mexico City’s thriving street food scene. It offers one of the largest tequila menus in the desert. Tip: for a bargain, go on taco Tuesday or Taco Thursday.

Giuseppe's Pizzeria

1775 E Palm Canyon Dr.

Casual, family-owned restaurant turning out Italian standards, including hand-tossed Chicago-inspired pan pizzas and classic pasta dishes. With a focus on fresh ingredients, everything on this menu is crafted with love and care. Located in the Smoke Tree Village.

Del Rey

1620 S Indian Trail

This one is not on East Palm Canyon, but just a block off and one of Palm Springs newest eateries, not to be missed. Located at the newly renovated Villa Royale, Del Rey is a decidedly dark and sexy space with an oak and black marble bar, leather seating, and an indoor fireplace. The dinner menu skews Spanish and Mediterranean. Start with a few shared small plates and then dig in to larger offerings.

Staying at a hotel downtown or north Palm Canyon? These restaurants are easily accessible on the free BUZZ trolley that stops every 20 minutes from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays.
