Getting Involved As a Group


Ronald McDonald House Charities

Group Size: 1–20, 20–50, 50+

Smaller groups can serve a meal to families with a hospitalized child and help set up craft tables for children. Volunteers can also sponsor a fundraising event or help with everyday maintenance and cleaning tasks around the Ronald McDonald House. 


San Diego Food Bank

Group Size: 1–20, 20–50, 50+

Groups volunteer for three-hour shifts, participating in tasks such as cleaning and packaging produce and sorting and labeling food donations.


San Diego County Parks

Group Size: 1–20, 20–50, 50+

Groups of all sizes can keep our local parks clean and inviting by removing litter and invasive plants and tending to native plant life. 


Serving Seniors

Group Size: 1–20

Smaller groups can volunteer at the yearly Serving Seniors gala. They can also serve meals or teach classes to seniors at the Wellness Center. 


Feeding San Diego

Group Size: 1–20, 20–50, 50+

Help end hunger in San Diego by volunteering to pack bags with groceries for school pantries and families, or by advocating for the organization as an ambassador at community events.  


Surfrider Foundation San Diego

Group Size: 1–20, 20–50, 50+

With Saturday beach cleanups happening around the county nearly every weekend, groups of all sizes can help preserve and protect San Diego’s natural resources. Smaller groups can also volunteer on a Surfrider committee focusing on local or global issues.


I Love a Clean San Diego

Group Size: 1–20, 20–50, 50+

Volunteers can help stencil storm drains with conservation messages, host beach cleanups, and pick up litter around local neighborhoods.
