Feeding San Diego’s reimagined Pairings with a Purpose at The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center raised enough money to provide 28,000 meals to San Diegans facing hunger. The four-course dinner for 88, prepared by Angelo Sosa (of Top Chef fame) and Ruffo Ibarra, executive chef of The Guild Hotel, featured swordfish donated by Tunaville Market, mesquite roasted yam with a 511-day aged mole negro, braised short rib, and a miso Basque cheesecake.
Feeding San Diego’s signature fundraiser is new to the La Jolla venue. It was previously hosted as a large-scale food and beverage tasting event at Bobby Riggs Racket & Paddle in Encinitas.
