In this charming little alcove, two chairs face the waterfront, but the real eye catcher seems to be the chandelier, which just tickles the end table. "The chandelier almost resembles a mechanical jellyfish," enthuses designer Ariana Heramb. "I like to take advantage of every nook and cranny in high-rise living, so that there isn’t any wasted space." To accomplish that, the designer mixed high and low, purchasing accessories through wholesale manufacturers and then supplementing with items from Z Gallerie, West Elm, and Ikea. "I like to use interesting larger items, which may have a higher price tag, and then fill in with less expensive items that are neutral and blend well with strong character pieces."
