Best Kitchen

It had to be celebrichef Brian Malarkey’s bright white kitchen in Point Loma, with its gleaming Calcutta Gold marble countertops and TK Collections French café chairs. Honorable mention for also having the cutest kids around. Hello, mini me!

Best Backyard

This La Jolla home is a kid’s dream with a slide that drops from the upper level down to the playground. Oh, and there’s a custom rock wall! This one also gets props for its super unique, colorful Roche Bobois sofa and chic midcentury-modern living room.

Best Bathroom

Restaurateur Karen Krasne’s admitted "door fetish" pays off with these repurposed Moroccan beauties. The elevated powder room also boasts a Moroccan dresser that she used as a changing table in her daughter’s nursery, before turning it into a sink. In addition, we love Krasne’s custom bookshelf that perfectly displays her stylish coffee table and cookbooks.

Best Terrarium

Not many homes have a life-sized terrarium but this one does. It also has a super cool history and a whole lot of charm.

Best Credenza

We love everything about this meticulously decorated Mount Helix home, especially this dining room cocktail vignette. Using tape and chalk, the owner’s father-in-law painted the striped accent wall in one day.  

Best Overall

We are still swooning over artist Karina Bania’s La Mesa home. The seamless blend of old and new, the DIY magnet board, that teal accent wall, the high- and low-end art casually leaning against the wall… man, she’s cool!
