The 2011 LGBT Pride Parade in San Diego included everything from history-making moments, to derby girls, and drag queens. Several politicians, including Mayor Jerry Sanders took part, as did charter schools, church groups, and the local business community.

One of the most exciting moments was seeing hundreds of active duty and veteran service members from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard marching  -- marking the first time in US history that gay service members have openly participated in a pride parade.
