Scripps Doc Off the Clock
At 20, Brian Kim was burning himself out studying for the Medical College Admission Test. The Santa Clarita native sought relief from the tension that came with being a premed, so he went back to one of the things that inspired him when he was younger—figure skating. Figure skating helped Dr. Kim find balance. He continued to skate throughout medical school and his residency, and has since gone on to take home the gold at the U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships.
