Let's Roll

On April 10, more than 3,000 bicyclists are expected to participate in Gran Fondo Colnago, a 53- and 105-mile bike ride that starts amid blasts of Pavarotti and the roar of Ferraris. "Gran Fondo" means "big ride," and "Colnago" comes from famed partner Ernesto Colnago, who makes bikes for the Pope and Ferrari. The course includes a steep 6-mile climb in Jamul and exclusive passage through the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista (pull over to take your pic on the podium). The fittest will finish in about five hours, but anyone can ride. Visit granfondosandiego.com. Andiamo!
