A dozen local restaurants like Searsucker, Craft & Commerce, Burger Lounge...even the MIHO Gastrotruck have all enjoyed recent shout-outs on a national level! The buzz and attention is happening thanks to our very own dining critic, Candice Woo.

A travel writer at The Washington Post asked her for some recommendations before taking a drive up the coast. Candice gave some love to A.R. Valentien at the Lodge at Torrey Pines and the Blind Lady Ale House.

Next, the oh-so-cool site Eater (part of the Curbed and Racked family) asked Candice for some picks. She put 10 lucky places on the map. Check out the stories in the links above.

Yay, Candice and hurray, San Diego!

And thanks to all the San Diego restaurants and hard-working chefs that keep our stomachs happy and give us somewhere really freaking cool to go.
