About William C. Eves, M.D.

A dedicated doctor with over 17 years of orthopaedic experience, Dr. William Eves graduated from George Washington School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed his Orthopaedic Residency at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. He continued with a Fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at the UCSD/San Diego Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Fellowship, and has helmed a thriving private practice in Chula Vista since 2002. He is board certified from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons (ABOS), and has been the team physician for the Point Loma High School football team for the past 10 years. Dr. Eves specializes in sports medicine, minimally invasive surgery of the knee and shoulder, and cutting-edge non-surgical orthopaedic treatments. His state-of-the-art office has the most advanced medical equipment available, including a comprehensive Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, a digital X-ray machine, and high-resolution ultrasound machines. “Orthopaedic problems can often be treated successfully with non-surgical treatments,” explains Dr. Eves. Dr. Eves and his team of Physician Assistants (PA’s) offer emerging therapies such as ultrasound-guided platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections. This simple procedure provides regenerative properties to the injured tissue, helping to accelerate the body’s natural healing ability. This and other innovative orthopaedic treatments often allow Dr. Eves and his team to treat their patients conservatively and without surgery. Dr. Eves also owns and operates South Bay Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (SBOPT), a premier physical therapy and rehabilitation clinic. SBOPT is directly adjacent to Dr. Eves’ orthopaedic office, which allows the physical therapists direct access to Dr. Eves, enabling them to confer daily on patient care and post-surgery treatment to ensure the best patient outcomes. “Our philosophy is to be compassionate, caring, and friendly, and to provide our patients with the very latest treatment options for their orthopaedic problem,” says Dr. Eves. “We consistently try and put ourselves in the patient’s situation to help them decide what their best treatment option may be, and we always strive to treat each patient the way we would treat a family member.”
