About Elizabeth Revesz, M.D.

Breast cancer is the most common malignancy in women. In fact, one out of every eight women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. The good news is the survival rate for breast cancer is above 90 percent if it is detected early and treated correctly. Dr. Elizabeth Revesz leads a team of breast cancer specialists at the Jean McLaughlin Women’s Center for Health and Healing. The team has a mission to eliminate cancer and employ oncoplastic techniques to ensure the best cosmetic outcome. The Women’s Center, located in Poway, is a service of Palomar Health and Arch Health Partners. Dr. Revesz’s career has been focused on breast cancer treatment. She received a degree in biology at Loyola University in Chicago and in medicine at Rush University Medical College in Chicago. Following five years of surgery residency at Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Dr. Revesz completed her Breast Surgery Fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, at the Lynn Sage Comprehensive Cancer Center. “My first priority is to provide the best care for my patients,” she explains. “An important part of that care is empowering patients and their families with the knowledge to make well-informed decisions about all the options available. We provide easy-to-understand worksheets, checklists and other support resources available to breast cancer patients. I encourage communication and share my e-mail address with all my patients.” Dr. Revesz is well-versed in the latest technologies and breast-saving techniques. “Beside the traditional breast procedures, I perform lumpectomies (breast-conserving therapy), skin- and nipple-sparing mastectomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy,” she says. “Our multidisciplinary team of physicians, genetic counselors, nurse-navigators and a great support staff work together to give each of our patients the highest level of care in the most comforting setting possible.”
