Beloved San Diego car wash chain Soapy Joe's, known for fun events like the Emmy-nominated “Commit to Your Car” campaign, car wash karaoke competition, and the Guinness World Record-holding World's Largest Air Freshener, announces today it will offer an alternative to the romantics who wish to wed on Valentine's Day – a fully-paid “Tunnel of Love” group wedding at their Imperial Beach location.

“This is a fun alternative for couples to make it official without the costs associated with traditional weddings, or long waits at the county courthouse on Valentine’s Day,” said Anne Mauler, VP of Marketing for Soapy Joe’s.

“As a proud military town, San Diego is home to a lot of heroic men and women who have put our country’s collective well-being ahead of their own,” said Ron Deimling, VP of Customer Experience, Army veteran, and Tunnel of Love wedding officiant. “In many cases, that means committing to a life stationed far away from family and loved ones. We welcome all couples to participate in the Tunnel of Love wedding, and hope to see the military community represented in the participants. By performing this group ceremony, we’re creating a fun way to bring our community together for what is one of life’s most special occasions.”

Tunnel of Love Wedding: A festive 50-foot celebration aisle will be created by turning the overhead vacuum booms into ceremonial arches, featuring LED lights and flowers, with a layered blue and white runner underfoot. Couples will walk the aisle accompanied by acoustic guitar, towards a 15-foot wide blue and white balloon arch, with a live-action Soapy character as ring bearer. Soapy Joe's signature bow ties are available for wedding party use to round-out the blue and white wedding theme.
