This year, Meals on Wheels San Diego County is taking its 2020 gala online with a party-infused virtual fundraiser with special guest speakers and performing artists.

The sign of the times may have changed the way things are done but the goal remains the same, to raise critical funds to support the independence and well-being of over 3,200 homebound seniors in San Diego County. Meals on Wheels San Diego County is looking to outdo last year’s fundraiser gala by raising $300,000 for these seniors. This is important now more than ever with so many older adults in the community confined to their homes causing the demand for service to skyrocket.

This gala is sure to be an hour of action-packed fun as there not only will be silent and live auctions by renowned auctioneer Clint Bell, but also some planned and surprise entertainment.

Ever see an opera-singing Chef, combining food and great music? You will with Elizabeth Podsiadlo who will definitely be entertaining and fun.

Daniel Delacruz, better known as (DeLa), saxophonist for the notable band Slightly Stoopid, is also on the agenda to play for everyone. He is not only a Tenor & Baritone Saxophonist, but a producer, songwriter, teacher, surfer, and Chef; a man of many talents!
