A SALUTE TO OUR HEROES
17TH ANNUAL PATRIOT DAY COMMEMORATION & BBQ
On Sunday, September 9th, there will be a Patriot Day 17th Anniversary Remembrance to commemorate that tragic day in 2001. The horrific events that struck this nation on 9/11will forever be etched in our nation’s history. We will never forget those that perished, and the sacrifices made by so many of our dedicated First Responders.
This community wide 9-11Commemoration and All-American BBQ is a salute to the men and women of our Armed Forces, Law Enforcement, Fire and EMT units locally. It will be held in the gymnasium of the Community Life Center, Faith Lutheran Church, 700 East Bobier Drive, Vista starting at 11:30 a.m. It’s a family event and lots for the kids to do. It’s free and open to the public!
You’re invited to come and share this event with us and to show your support to those who serve and protect us, both at home and abroad, everyday, 24/7.
The Sunday event will begin with church services at 8:00 a.m. and a second service at 10:30 a.m. The BBQ will be served before the ceremony which is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
There will be a ceremony to include a beautiful flag display, a Colors Presentation, singing of the National Anthem, a video honoring our fallen, folding of the Colors, ringing of a Commemorative Bell, and playing of Taps.
If you have any questions, please contact the event coordinator, Dick Dinse, at 760-732-3560 or drop an email to RichardDinse@Cox.Net. Or, contact the church office at 760-724-7700 and speak to Mrs. Kelli Coletti.
Please mark your calendar and plan to attend. Wear your picnic clothes and bring your camera! You’ll be glad you did.
God Bless America!
