September 1:

Peruvian musician Alexandro Querevalú plays a variety of indigenous wind instruments at California Center for the Arts, Escondido.


September 6:

Sample bites and sips from more than 25 restaurants during Taste of Del Mar, paired with ocean views and live music in the village.

Catch world-premiere musical The Heart of Rock & Roll, presenting classic hits from Huey Lewis and the News at The Old Globe (through 10/21).


September 7:

Watch 50 horses and 12 players compete in the three-day Beach Polo Cup at Hotel del Coronado.

September 13:

Stroll the Taste of Downtown for eclectic fare from more than 40 participating eateries throughout the Headquarters at Seaport, Core District, Gaslamp Quarter, and East Village.


September 14:

Head to the Del Mar Fairgrounds for the three-day Kaaboo Del Mar music festival, featuring over 60 artists and bands, comedy shows, art installations and galleries, culinary demonstrations, and other indulgences.

Spend the weekend on Mission Bay at San Diego Bayfair for boat races, live music, and an all-ages beach party.

Country superstar trio Rascal Flatts rocks the house at Mattress Firm Amphitheatre.

September 22:

Take a walk on the wild side at the San Diego Zoo Food, Wine & Brew Celebration, featuring more than 160 participating restaurants and bars, live entertainment, dancing, and exotic animals.

Join a cultural celebration of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia at the two-day Pacific Islander Festival, held on Mission Bay’s Ski Beach.

Explore the inaugural two-day ArtWalk Carlsbad festival, showcasing work from over 200 artists in all kinds of media, from paint to chalk art along Armada Drive.

Take it easy with the Eagles, Zac Brown Band, and The Doobie Brothers in a special concert at Petco Park.

Shake it out with Florence and the Machine at Viejas Arena.


September 25:

See powerful stories from servicemembers during the six-day GI Film Festival San Diego at the Museum of Photographic Arts and UltraStar Cinemas Mission Valley at Hazard Center.

We’re toasting to the city’s female CEOs, nonprofit leaders, and all-around visionaries at our annual Celebrating Women event, atop The Westgate Hotel.


September 27:

Get in formation for Jay-Z and Beyoncé to bring down the house at SDCCU Stadium.


September 28:

Military aviators perform high-flying stunts and speedy flyovers at the three-day MCAS Miramar Air Show.
