Trail of the Month: Convention Center Loop

How to run or walk this nearly 5-mile trek in downtown San Diego

Difficulty Level

Moderate, recreational runners in good shape

4.7 miles out and back

Good to Know

Dog Friendly
Stroller Friendly
Paid Parking

Find metered parking on Harbor Drive near Waterfront Park, then hoof it south to loop around both Embarcadero Marina parks before coming back.

Why We Love It

This cool and breezy run has scenery that makes you feel like you’re modeling in a tourism ad. Say cheese!

Where to Refuel

Head to Rustic Root for their rooftop brunch menu, including breakfast risotto or California eggs Benedict. Or at Café 222, pick from a range of waffles (pumpkin, pecan, blueberry cornbread).

What to Instagram

An iconic view of the Coronado Bridge from the north park.
