On September 26, San Diego Magazine hosted more than 600 of the city’s most inspiring female leaders, movers and shakers and entrepreneurs for Celebrating Women at the Westgate Hotel. The sold-out event featured networking, live music by three different female –led bands, a curated pop-up shop, bites and cocktails. The highlights of the evening were a keynote speech by internationally-renowned Mallika Chopra about the power of intention and an awards ceremony. The ceremony honored six local female powerhouses across various industries and were given awards in the following categories: Women of the Year, Industry Leader, Military Service, Nonprofit Visionary and Rising Star. Below is the list of winners.

  • Women of the Year - Georgia Griffiths, G2 Software Systems
  • Industry Leader – Rita Steel, Robert Half
  • Military Service – Donnee Williams, United States Navy
  • Nonprofit Visionary – Marla Black, Junior Achievement of San Diego County
  • Rising Star - Jacqueline Isaac, Roads of Success
