Sweet Spot: Café Gratitude's Vegan Pies

The Little Italy restaurant takes a plant-based (and charitable) approach to Thanksgiving pie

Last year, Little Italy’s Café Gratitude debuted its first community Thanksgiving meal, a longtime tradition from the restaurant’s original San Francisco location. The event returns to San Diego this month, with free organic, plant-based Thanksgiving meals doled out first come, first served on November 23.

To raise funds for the event, Café Gratitude is selling their raw, vegan Thanksgiving pies, including pumpkin, pecan, and chocolate coconut cream flavors (the coconut pie is also agave-based and nut-free). Want to get more involved? The community event is staffed by volunteers of all ages and families.

Call the restaurant to sign up at 619–736–5077. $35 per pie, serves 4–6 people
