A tribute to the life of the queen of disco is told through her final concert in SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical at La Jolla Playhouse (through 12/17).

November 9:

Watch thrillers, comedies, documentaries, dramas, and action movies from around the world at various theaters during the San Diego Asian Film Festival (through 11/18).

November 10:

San Diego Opera presents As One, a story about transgender identity at Joan B. Kroc Theatre for three performances.

November 11:

Honor those who’ve served our country during the San Diego Veterans Day Parade downtown along Harbor Drive.

November 12:

Bon vivants unite for the 14th annual San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival, featuring 150 wineries, breweries, distilleries, and cuisine from 60 local restaurants (through 11/19).

November 14:

Hear from best-selling author of The Da Vinci Code Dan Brown at Balboa Theatre.

Catch live performances from the season 14 cast of So You Think You Can Dance as they take the stage at San Diego Civic Theatre.

November 25:

See St. Nick hang 10 (on dry land) during the Surfin’ Santa Arrival at Seaport Village, which includes a parade, photo ops, and kids’ crafts.

Make a dent in your holiday shopping list while supporting local retailers on Small Business Saturday in Little Italy.

San Diego Symphony presents The First Lady of Song: An Ella Fitzgerald Tribute at Copley Symphony Hall as part of a celebration of this jazz legend’s centennial.
