The Point Loma Village is currently having a moment, thanks in part to the opening of West Side Tap House and newer retail offerings like En Concordia Home and Garden. The latter is owned by Theresa Renfro, who recently opened a new shop for sprouts of a different kind. See/Saw stocks luxe organic cotton kids’ clothing and decidedly low-tech educational wooden toys. It’s a great spot to find unique gifts, such as play tables crafted from recycled milk jugs or locally made scented markers and ninja erasers.

“Spending the day with parents, grandparents, kids (occasionally a dog or two), and finely made toys is just a lot of fun,” Renfro says. “Noisy, but fun.”
