Now, The Dover Honing Co., the latest from CH Projects (known for its rad restaurant spaces like Craft & Commerce) is bringing clean-shaven style to the East Village. Decked out in 1920s-era chairs and window signage hand-painted with 23-karat gold, it’s the perfect place to send our men to get their hirsute mugs groomed while they grow out their ’staches in honor of Movember and men’s health. The shop also stocks supplies to aid in the process. Byrd’s handmade tortoiseshell pocket combs ($24) and original pomade by Grant’s Golden Brand ($19) are best sellers. Gentlemen, keep calm and shave on.
