Luxury Living in San Diego

San Diego has long been touted as the ultimate Southern California getaway.

Published:

Its lures include ideal weather, pristine beaches, majestic mountains, and a vigorous arts, culture, and sports scene. What’s even better than a vacation to San Diego? Living there year-round in a resort-like setting. The location to pinpoint: Mission Valley, where there are several neighborhoods prime for laying down roots, such as Civita’s Circa 37, West Park, and The Village.

The Village Mission Valley

The Village Mission Valley brings a new look to the neighborhood. Formerly La Mirage Apartment Homes, the property has undergone a multimillion-dollar renovation. Among its many highlights are more than 800 new trees and 93,000 shrubs that enhance this tranquil setting in the midst of an indoor/outdoor paradise. Inside the one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes and townhomes are lofty 9-foot ceilings, hardwood and carpeted flooring, quartz countertops, glass tile kitchen backsplashes, and balconies or patios.

On the horizon is a clubhouse with features such as Wi-Fi, an open-air terrace, and lap pool. Still to be discovered onsite are four more pools, including two in lagoon designs, hot-tub spas, cabañas, outdoor fireplaces, and community barbecues. Another way to soak in the landscape, such as a private bluff that overlooks coastal hills, is with a stroll along a mile-long trail. A dedicated dog park makes it extra-special for furry residents.

Or take workouts indoors with the yoga studio and a state-of-the-art fitness center with cardio equipment and free weights.

One thing all these Mission Valley apartments have in common is easy access to some of San Diego’s most sought-after attractions: Old Town San Diego Historic Park, Mission San Diego de Alcalá, Presidio Park, and Qualcomm Stadium. What does this mean for residents? Hello, staycation!

West Park & Circa 37

These Sudberry Properties highlight sustainability with smart technology, solar panels, electric car-charging stations, and Car2Go vehicles (available onsite 24 hours a day/seven days per week). Luxe amenities are shared between the two. Onsite Wi-Fi in common areas keeps residents connected.

Both properties feature studios and one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. Inside these luxurious apartment homes: 9-foot ceilings, hardwood-style flooring, carpeting, quartz countertops, as well as a private patio or balcony (in most units), stainless-steel GE appliances, and full-size washer and dryer.

Circa 37 is ready for move-in, bringing relaxation home with a saltwater pool, private cabañas equipped with high-definition televisions, and a firepit area. A spacious recreation and fitness center is jam-packed with high-tech cardio and weight equipment. Also enticing is a lounge area near the pool, which includes a third-floor entertainment space complete with gourmet kitchen, pool table, and multiple televisions. For information visit circa37.com.

Opening in January is West Park. Resort-worthy amenities come by way of three saltwater pools and cabañas equipped with flatscreen televisions. Also on tap is the property’s nearly 10,000-square-foot recreation and fitness center with a climbing wall, group exercise rooms, bicycle repair space, dog-washing station, and, for kicking back, an intimate media screening room with a 90-inch screen and stadium seating for 22. Take workouts into the San Diego sunshine with a half-mile of jogging trails with exercise stations. Preleasing is currently under way for West Park.
