Enter the bright and colorful world of Casa Artelexia

Enter the bright and colorful world of Casa Artelexia. Co-owner Elexia de la Parra has filled the space with textiles, furnishings, and accessories from all over Mexico. “I wanted people who walked in to be ‘transported’ to a magical Mexico,” de la Parra says. Every Saturday, the store holds arts and crafts workshops, with sugar skull decorating, piñata making, and more—a great way to prep for Dia de los Muertos on November 1 and 2. Later in the month, on November 23, there will be a live painting by Day of the Dead artist David Lozeau (the current artist-in-residence at Disneyland), with a special gift, live music, craft beer and wine, and a gourmet food truck. 2400 Kettner Boulevard, Little Italy
