[ Apertivo ]
The Italian tapas joint known for $3 wine specials and $5 bites has reopened in a new location: 2322 El Cajon Boulevard in North Park, apertivo.com.

[ Pizza Freeks ]
A New York – style pizzeria lands in Bankers Hill, with thin slices, tons of toppings and a few small tables on the sidewalk. Juniper Street at First Avenue, 619-581-9214.

[ Beachwood ]
Owners of The Fleetwood bar and restaurant in the East Village have christened a beachside version, Beachwood, in the former Hooters location on Mission Boulevard. Mexican Monday specials of $4 Margaritas and $2 ­tacos are an early hit with Happy Hour crowds. thebeachwood.com.

[ Barfly ]
Filling a gap in nightlife options in La Jolla, Barfly offers bottle service, state-of-the-art audio and video deejay displays, dancing and a full bar of specialty cocktails and craft beer. A menu of California basics (Caesar salad, chicken skewers, ahi tartar, pizzas) is available all night as well. barflylajolla.com.

[ Extraordinary Desserts ]
The Little Italy location has launched a cheese bar special on Wednesdays, 4 to 7, at which guests can sample as many nibbles as they like from an assortment of eight to 10 ­cheeses for just $12. A new selection of wines is also now available by the half-glass. ­extraordinarydesserts.com.

[ Donovan’s Circle of 5ths ]
Donovan’s new supper-club spot is now open in the Gaslamp on Fifth Avenue in the former Bondi site. Expect live music nightly, everything from local jazz acts and acoustic guitar players to Motown bands and dueling piano acts. ­donovanscircle.com.

[ Zia’s Bistro ]
Following a recent fire in the kitchen, Zia’s Bistro in Little Italy has closed temporarily to undergo a remodel. ziasbistro.com.

[ Quality Social ]
Quality Social now serves a brunch menu on weekends with hangover helpers like cornmeal-bacon waffles and eggs Benedict with pork belly, as well as brunch cocktails like the bloody Caesar with house-made clamato juice and vodka. qualitysocial.com.

[ El Bizcocho ]
