June 1:

Rainbow grilled cheese, unicorn ice cream sandwiches, and the “Cocoa Cabana” speakeasy? It’s all at the San Diego County Fair at Del Mar Fairgrounds, which touts a candy-coated theme, “How Sweet It Is,” this year (through 7/4).

Sip your way through the Beer & Sake Festival, featuring taiko drumming, hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction, at Harrah’s Resort Southern California.

Catch a classical concert during the 30th annual Mainly Mozart Festival, held at various venues around San Diego County (through 6/24).


June 2:

See Art Around Adams, featuring more than 100 exhibiting artists, as well as music and entertainment, along a two-mile route in Normal Heights.

Find yourself “stuck like glue” to Sugarland’s country croons when the duo performs at Del Mar Fairgrounds.


June 5:

Explore your inner animal instincts at the world premiere of The Squirrels at La Jolla Playhouse (through 7/8).


June 7:

Savor seasonal ingredients during the monthly Artisan Table Series at The Lodge at Torrey Pines’ A.R. Valentien, which features a new guest chef for each dinner. This month, look for famed Valle de Guadalupe chef Drew Deckman in the kitchen.

Come out for the four-day San Diego LGBT Film Festival, celebrating its 20th anniversary at The Observatory North Park.


June 8:

Enjoy traditional food, pastries, music, and dance during the three-day San Diego Greek Festival at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church.

Expect a barrel of laughs as comedian Jim Gaffigan hits the stage at Del Mar Fairgrounds.

Acclaimed composer Yanni brings his contemporary instrumental music to the Civic Theatre.


June 9:

Spend a weekend at Waterfront Park for the San Diego Festival of the Arts, showcasing work from nearly 200 artists, plus live music and entertainment, libations, and food from local restaurants.

Sample over 130 kinds of vino during The Toast of the Coast Wine Festival & Competition at Del Mar Fairgrounds.

Paintings depicting Epic Tales from Ancient India go on exhibit at the San Diego Museum of Art (through 9/3).


June 10:

Tart flavors await at Stone Sour Fest, tapping into more than 75 beers at Stone Brewing’s Escondido headquarters and tasting room.

Watch the pros compete at the USA Surfing Championships and Team Trials in Oceanside and Lower Trestles (through 6/20).

Venture inland for the 10th annual Taste of La Mesa at La Mesa Community Center.


June 12:

It’s going down as Kesha and Macklemore turn up the volume at Mattress Firm Amphitheatre.

Are you ready to rock? Based on the film, the musical School of Rock brings hilarious performances and tunes from Andrew Lloyd Webber to the Civic Theatre (through 6/17).


June 13:

Feast on your favorites at San Diego Magazine’s Best Restaurants Party at Pirch in Westfield UTC, where chefs will serve samples of their signature dishes.

Rack up stamps in your Taste Passport at Taste of Little Italy, when eateries open their doors for a bite of the nabe’s foodie scene.


June 15:

Let your geek flag fly at the two-day InterGalactiCon, an intimate precursor to Comic-Con, at Town and Country San Diego.

Choose among hundreds of brews from more than 23 states and 20 countries at the three-day San Diego International Beer Festival at the San Diego County Fair.


June 16:

Set out on a walking tour of downtown’s food scene during the Taste of Gaslamp, featuring 25 restaurants.

Large-scale pop-up art installation and museum The CADO ripens in Liberty Station for an immersive, Insta-worthy experience (through 8/31).


June 17:

Shakespeare’s The Tempest tells a story of revenge and dark fantasies under the stars at The Old Globe’s outdoor theater (through 7/22).

Celebrate dad with a Father’s Day Concert & BBQ featuring Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band beachside at Hotel del Coronado.

June 20:

Glenn Miller Orchestra brings jazz and swing dance music to Copley Symphony Hall.


June 21:

Performance artists put on uncensored shows during the San Diego International Fringe Festival, held at various venues (through 7/1).

Take in Culture & Cocktails at the San Diego Museum of Art’s Indian-themed after-hours party, including henna artists, traditional dancers, and a photo booth.

Feel just like a rock star when Post Malone takes the stage at CalCoast Credit Union Open Air Theatre.

No shoes, no shirt, and no problems while country superstar Kenny Chesney performs at Mattress Firm Amphitheatre.

Acclaimed Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli captivates audiences at Valley View Casino Center with his operatic vocals.


June 23:

Visit the open-air San Diego Night Market at Kearny Office Park, inspired by those found in Asia, for food, entertainment, and specialty merchandise.

Mixologists unite for Distilled: San Diego Spirit & Cocktail Festival, serving up 180 types of liquor and mixers.

Stand-up comedian Dane Cook brings his off-color humor to Harrah’s Resort Southern California.


June 24:

Hold a pose during the free Festival of Yoga at Waterfront Park, featuring two community classes, live music, food trucks, and other vendors.

Set in 1860s Bangkok, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s musical The King and I at the Civic Theatre tells a story of an unlikely relationship (through 7/1).


June 29:

The Star Spangled Pops kicks off San Diego Symphony’s Bayside Summer Nights concert series at Embarcadero Marina Park South; catch American classics through the weekend (series through 9/2).
