Ever wonder how many beer festivals one city can sustain? In San Diego, it seems the thirst is unquenchable, as a new one crops up just about every month. This month’s big gathering is the Winter Brew Fest at Balboa Park’s Hall of Champions. It’s been expanded to two days (the organizers also run the Summer Brew Fest here, in Denver, and in North Carolina) with dozens of local breweries signed up to pour samples. There will also be live music in the hall, and a portion of the proceeds is donated to Outdoor Outreach and the San Diego Mountain Biking Association. February 20–21, $40–$50.
