Barrio Logan’s El Carrito has undergone a design and menu makeover. Housed in a 1930s streetcar, they’re serving chilaquiles, tortas, tostadas, and more for breakfast and lunch.

North County has welcomed The Patio on 101 in Encinitas, from the group behind The Patio on Lamont and The Patio on Goldfinch.

Poke It is now open in Hillcrest, with a Baja take on the traditional Hawaiian dish, including sushi rice fried to make “ricetadas” and toppings like salmon skin chicharrones.

Wine country vibes have landed in the Gaslamp. Route 29 features over 150 wines and California-influenced cuisine.

Moto Deli, the gourmet sandwich shop that opened in Leucadia last year, has debuted a second location in Mira Mesa.

After 14 years in the East Village, Cafe Chloe has closed. Their nearby cafe Minou Crêperie & Pâtisserie remains open for private events.

Award-winning chef Basso Drillman has exported his Japanese ramen skills to Oceanside with Ramen Menma Basso Drillman.

The distillery-bar-restaurant concept Storyhouse Spirits is scheduled to open this month in the East Village, with wood-fired dishes and cocktails made with house-infused vodka.

Amplified Ale Works is headed to the East Village. Look for their beer, food, and a new cocktail program at the brewpub, slated to open this month at Fault Line Park.
