Tasting notes, fast facts, and expert reviews on every brewery in the San Diego region

Santee’s third official brewery, which opened its doors in June 2013, has something for almost everyone. The brewery and tasting room space also houses a home brew supply store and the BNS distilling equipment, which offers visitors a range of spirits also produced on site.
The tasting area, which sports a Wild West theme, is spacious and well designed, with outdoor options (good for kids) as well as a good-sized bar and plenty of elbow-leaning space. (Check out the refrigerated copper panel that runs the length of the bar, which will keep your pint cold, if you like.)
Head brewer Dan Jensen, who learned to brew big-time at Coronado Brewing, created a core lineup of well-crafted and very drinkable ales, the highest ABV of which clocks in at 6.5%. With a Saison, a golden, a pale ale, a stout, and an IPA, the main styles should appeal to almost any kind of beer enthusiast. The Revolver IPA won a gold medal at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival.
