If you’ve just gotten engaged recently I’m sure you are bubbling with joy and, more often than not, you’ll want to hit the ground running to start planning your wedding. Well, I have four great tips to help you on your journey to the altar.

Announce It
Tell your parents, relatives and close friends that you’re engaged. Send your engagement announcements to loved ones. It’s perfectly fine to make your announcement to some individuals via e-mail if it’s how you generally correspond.

Budget It
Sit down with fiancé and set the budget for your wedding and reception. Determine who’s going to pay for your wedding. Ask your selves, will it be your parents, the groom’s parents, or will the two of you pay for the wedding yourselves?

Set It
Try to get your wedding date locked in as soon as possible. Start looking for a venue right away because there are only so many weekends in a year. Often, the venue availability can determine the date of your wedding.

Plan it
Purchase a wedding-planner guidebook. This will help you organize all of your thoughts, ideas and details for your wedding. Select your bridal party and start looking for your dream dress. Most importantly, hire your wedding professionals early. Getting the proper experts in place will help you to relax and enjoy your journey to the altar!
