Film Festival Insider Series Debuts ‘Marie Curie’ on May 16

The Polish film is a biography about the legendary female scientist

Considered the best date night in San Diego by many, the San Diego Film Festival VIP screenings feature independent films with a pre-film cocktail party, post champagne reception, and special guests. After the screening, guests get the chance to meet the people behind the film with short interviews offering an inside look at the story, the actors, and the process of bringing the film from the page to the theatre.

On May 16, they'll screen the Polish film Marie Curie - The Courage of Knowledge. The film is a sweeping biography of the legendary, Nobel Prize-winning scientist whose career and personal life were dotted with controversy. As a 20th century French physicist and chemist, she was a pioneer in the study of radioactivity and spent her life setting precedents.
