TEDxSanDiego 2015

20/20 Vision Speaker Series Comes to Symphony Hall

Now celebrating their sixth year, TEDxSanDiego continues to be a catalyst for spreading ideas that change our community and the world at large. Each year presents the opportunity for the team to bring a transformational experience to the stage with the goal of enabling people to learn, connect, be inspired, inspire others, and realize that all of us have the ability to make a difference.

This year’s theme, 20/20 Vision, speaks to the innate desire to see the world around us with a greater sense of clarity, and examines what our world may look like in the year 2020, from a global, regional, and personal perspective. And on that last point, we would pose the question, “Who will you be in the year 2020?”  You can view a complete list of the speakers and their bios, here.

In addition to all of the speakers and performers who will take you on a journey of insights and revelations inside Symphony Hall, we’ve once again turned B Street into Innovation Alley as a way to showcase twenty of San Diego’s most innovative and creative entrepreneurs.

The presentation will be split into 3 sessions.  In the first session Dalouge Smith, President & CEO of the San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory, will talk about the need for music education.  In the second session, John Iversen, Director of the SIMPHONY Project at UCSD, will talk about how music affects brain development (project connected to the Youth Symphony).   The San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory’s Chamber Orchestra will close the show.

Purchase a ticket here.
