Behind the Scenes: Exotic Cookie Tasting

Published:

Our upcoming October issue has one of my favorite dining section features ever: a full page of San Diego's most exotic cookies. One of the independent bakers featured is Kuba Kreations, which you can find at Farmers' Markets around San Diego.

Kuba Kreations graciously sent over three flavors for us to sample: Lemon Lavender, Spiced Pumpkin, and Chai Latte. After selecting one cookie to feature in the magazine, we cut up the remaining cookies and asked San Diego Magazine staffers to pick their favorite flavor. The winner of the popular vote was Chai Latte, with 50% of the vote. Lemon Lavender was in second place with 45% of the vote, and Spiced Pumpkin brought up the rear with 5% (as represented in the cookie pie chart above.) I have to say, there were no losers here, just yummy, yummier, and yummiest.

My vote was for the Lemon Lavender. Which cookie sounds the tastiest to you?
