The Best Chips and Salsa in San Diego

From smokey chipotle to roasted green chilli, we reveal 5 of the best chips and salsa spots in San Diego.

Published:

Miguel's Cocina -- The best white sauce. I love the red salsa (very garlic-y), but the jalapeno white sauce is the best here! warm and cheesy and just a little bit of heat.

El Camino -- Everyone gets a trio of salsas here -- a green chile one, an aoili one and a smoky chipotle one -- soooo good! Chips are made in-house and come out warm, too.

Mama Tea -- Great salsa bar! Tons of choices, most of them really spicy. Really good mashed potato tacos here too -- in Hillcrest right on University (This was the place on The Food Network shoth Bobby Flay)

Lucha Libre -- great salsa bar! really spicy stuff here. And great TJ-style hot dogs too.

Fred's -- SUCH good salsa! love this stuff! super tomato-y.
