Our roundup of the Best 2010 San Diego PRIDE parties


THURSDAY @ 10 p.m. –Ushering in all of the Pride festivities is the San Diego Pride Wet Foam Party. The foam starts at 10 and the wet underwear contest starts at midnight!

THURSDAY NIGHT— Put on your white for the fourth annual Blackout Party. Highlighters will be passed out at the door and only the black lights will be on…

FRIDAY @ 7:30 a.m. -- Start Friday’s festivities early with a champagne “Coalition Breakfast” 7:30 at the LGBT community center.

FRIDAY @ 7:30 p.m. – Cruise on over to the bay to party on the water at the T-Dance on the Bay Night Cruise.

FRIDAY @ 7:30 p.m. – Take a break from the bars for a little comedy at Stand Up for Equality.

FRIDAY @ 9 p.m. – Kick of Pride weekend with a beer garden, go-go dancers and two dance floors at Rich’s. OR Beer garden? Check. Go-go dancers? Check. Two dance floors? Check.

FRIDAY @ 10 p.m. –The Abby is playing host this year’s Pride Ball, and unlike Cinderella, it won’t be ending at midnight.

FRIDAY NIGHT – “It’s Raining Men” is back at Bacchus, this time with a Mr. Manhunt contest.

SATURDAY @ 10 a.m. --If you prefer to people watching to parading, go to Jakes on 6th for their Pride Parade viewing party.

SATURDAY @10 a.m. – If your pooch wants to parade around too, take ‘em to the Most PRIDEful dog contest and parade viewing party at the Canine Country Club.

SATURDAY @ 11 a.m. – Take a break from the heat at The Handerly Hotel where they’re hosting a Bill Hardt pool party.

SATURDAY @ 8 p.m. –Eve is playing at the Cox Communications Main Stage in Balboa Park.

SATURDAY @ 10 p.m. – The Hall of Champions is hosting the evening event Circuit Daze.

SATURDAY @ 10 p.m. – For some “fresh beats and cool treats” head on over to 4th & B for “Popsicle Pride!” (Katy Perry was right when she said “Skin so hot, will melt your popsicle,” so get there early!)


SUNDAY @ noon-8 p.m. – Cool off from what is sure to be a hot weekend at Flawles for an afternoon pool party.

SUNDAY @ noon-8 p.m. If you prefer rooftops to pool parties, and sun cabanas to swim suits, RE:FRESH is hosting a rooftop party at the Porto Vista Hotel.

SUNDAY @ 4 p.m.— Veteran Pride Parade Party host Bill Hart (he has been promoting Pride Parade events for 13 years!) is presenting The Zoo Party at our very own San Diego Zoo.

SUNDAY @ 4:55 p.m. – Blake Lewis is performing at the Cox Communication Main Stage in Balboa Park.

SUNDAY @ 6 p.m. – The much anticipated DEVO is performing at the Cox Communication Main Stage.

SUNDAY @ 10 p.m. – Seek “Salvation” from a long, exciting weekend, with even more music and at 4th&B!

SUNDAY @ 10 p.m. – End the weekend the same way it began—with DJ’s and dancing. “Fete Accompli” is at the On Broadway Event Center.
