1500 Ocean

Hotel del Coronado’s ocean view restaurant will have a four- and five- course dinner with a wine pairing option. Charred octopus, king beef filet mignon, and seared foie gras are menu highlights. Live music performed by Ryan Hiller Trio and a midnight toast with a live DJ in Club Crown until 1 a.m.

Bagby Beer Company

Dine out untraditionally at the end of the year with a family-style cookout. Bagby will host a no-reservation, no-menu backyard grilling event. Bagby brews like their Belgian style Point Five and Dum Dum IPA will be offered along with holiday cocktails. Dogs and kids of all ages are welcome.

Bankers Hill Bar and Restaurant

From three-time James Beard nominee Carl Schroeder, this downtown restaurant will hold a three-course menu with dishes including duck confit pappardelle, cast-iron grilled New York steak, and chilled lemon soufflé with Meyer lemon sorbet and huckleberry compote. An additional $30 wine pairing is available.

Bar Bodega

Visit Little Italy’s classic Spanish tapas bar for dinner and enjoy a complimentary bottle of Tarantas sparkling white. Three seating’s for dinner service will run at 6 p.m., 8 p.m., and 10 p.m., or book brunch for January 1.

Cafe Sevilla

This Spanish restaurant in the Gaslamp Quarter will put on a dinner and show before years end with a four-course dinner and flamenco performance. The menu includes Maine lobster paella and an almond tart de Santiago. A deposit is required.

Decoy Dockside Dining

At San Marcos’s Lakehouse Hotel & Resor, their lakefront restaurant will host a three-course dinner. For an extra $15, you’ll get dancing and drinks at the dock, accompanied by entertainment from DJ Noel, a Water & Light Show, and a champagne toast.

The Grass Skirt

Head to this Pacific Beach eatery where the tropical-themed bar will host a Blue Hawaii experience where each table reservation will receive a take home Blue Hawaii cocktail in a pirate flask. Bottle service inside a treasure chest is available and dinner guests can reserve their table until midnight where a flower drop will ring in the New Year.

Toast to the new year from this downtown restaurant, where Executive Chef Anthony Sinsay is preparing a four-course menu with a Filipino twist. Then head to the Upper East Bar rooftop for a DJ and dancing beginning at 8 p.m. It’s included if you dine at JSix or $25 for just the party.

Juniper and Ivy

The restaurant with a “Left Coast Cookery” menu will host a four-course dinner with limited seating. Reservations recommended. On the menu, find oysters and caviar, spaghetti with shaved black truffle, and the restaurant’s signature dessert, the Yodel. À la carte wine pairings will be available.

At this Destination Hotel’s signature restaurant KITCHEN 1540, Executive Chef Nathan Lingle will prepare a five-course dinner with Wagyu Beef, ravioli with truffle, and champagne-poached pear with cardamom panna cotta. There will be live music by David Shyde Band with DJ Gabe Vega ringing in the new year with a glass of Perrier-Jouet.

Lionfish

Gaslamp’s latest boutique hotel, the Pendry, will serve its modern coastal cuisine and sushi for the end of the year event. Dine on their grand tasting menu by Executive Chef Jose Ruiz or from an à la carte menu. Sip on a complimentary glass of Moët Chandon, too.

The steam ferryboat Berkley will transform into a festive lounge decked with a dessert buffet and photo booth hosted by the Maritime Museum. Watch the balloon drop in the San Diego Bay with a champagne toast and music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
