Scripps Clinic orthopedic surgeon Timothy Peppers, MD, often starts his day hanging 10 at Black’s Beach. A mini psychological vacation, he calls it. The 55-year-old La Jolla resident says surfing keeps him young and emphasizes to his patients the importance of overall fitness and an active lifestyle.
