Photographer Spotlight: Josh Green

A quick look at our Fall Fashion photographer and what he's up to

Published:

I'm from…  Conway, a tiny little town smack dab in the center of Arkansas. I now live in La Mesa.

I worked for San Diego Magazine on… Dressed up in Downtown, the September Fall Fashion feature

I'm currently shooting…  Mostly weddings and the occasional look book or lifestyle shoot. I love talking to people and hearing their stories, I find it fascinating and inspiring; shooting weddings allows me to get to know some of the most awesome people on the planet at one of the happiest times of their lives.  It's honestly the greatest job ever.

A personal project I'm working on is… I'm currently working together with Kat Wolle to develop a brand and vision around her custom jewelry line called "TheFree."  I know... I'm a guy and it's strange that I'm interested in a jewelry line but the pieces she creates are so unbelievably unique and amazing, it's like each piece is a piece of art.

My favorite thing to shoot in San Diego is… I absolutely LOVE shooting lifestyle themed shoots at the amazing beach towns up and down the coastline of San Diego.

I'm inspired by… people.  Most people are freaking awesome. They create and do things that blow my mind. They conquer challenges and solve seemingly unsolvable problems in truly creative ways. I am constantly inspired by what the people on this planet do on a daily basis.

If I wasn't a photographer, I'd be a…  I'm also a huge tech and computer science junkie and have recently been spending nearly every free second I can find developing a new software application that I believe will save photographers hundreds of hours of editing time and help keep them inspired by giving them a portion of their lives back.
