Friday-Saturday

The "Psych Ward" Haunted House

Saturday

Halloween Zombie Apocalypse Walk & Afterparty
Join the undead hordes for a zombie walk (or stumble?) through the Gaslamp Quarter. Meet outside of Sam Goody at Horton Plaza at 5 p.m. The walk starts at 6 p.m. All ages are welcome. Free. After party (and after-after party) follow the walk. See link for more details, including where to get made up as a zombie before the walk.

Bar Basic " Happy Hallowsheen" Party
Unleash your inner Charlie at Bar Basic's Halloween event, featuring "Tiger Blood" shots and a live DJ spinning tunes into the wee hours. Unlike most club events downtown, this one starts early enough to get your fill of Halloween fun and still get home at a reasonable hour, or move on to another location. Another bonus? No cover! 7 p.m. - 2 a.m.

Sunday

Day of the Dead
Enjoy Oceanside's Festival full of tradition for Dia de los Muertos. Mariachi bands, dancers, and traditional altars honoring the dead transform the San Luis Ray Mission. 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
