Agenda

The 10th annual Trolley Dances presented by Jean Isaac’s San Diego Dance Theater is taking mass transit to artistic heights. Hop on a Green Line trolley at Hazard Center station and embark on an eye-popping ride through the city, where dancers entertain with contemporary routines on improvisational stages. A tour guide hosts riders throughout the six-stop tour showcasing the work of nationally recognized choreographers. Two of this year’s performances are held along the San Diego River, and a new hip-hop ensemble makes use of a fire escape on a building in Little Italy. Past years’ dancers have splashed in outdoor fountains and performed inside abandoned warehouses. See what surprises are in store this year. Two-hour tours run Sept. 27 & 28, Oct. 4 & 5, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Tickets and information: 619-225-1803 or sandiegodancetheater.org. ——LESLIE CHURCH
