Torrey Pines State Beach

How to Get There: In Torrey Pines. Take the Carmel Valley Road exit off Interstate 5, five miles north of La Jolla. Turn onto McGonigle Road and follow it to the beach.
Parking: $8 entrance fee per vehicle, $6 seniors.
Open: 8 am to sunset.
Specifics: Lifeguards, rest rooms, picnic tables, hiking, surfing.
