South Carlsbad State Beach

How to Get There: Three miles south of Carlsbad, along Carlsbad Boulevard at Poinsettia Lane.
Parking: $10 entrance fee per vehicle.
Open: 8 am to 8 pm. Dawn to sunset.
Specifics: Lifeguards, rest rooms, showers, picnic tables, fire pits, camping, food and drink, hiking, RVs, surfing. There are 222 developed tent and RV campsites.
