Embarcadero

the star india ship Hey, what’s that up ahead on the Embarcadero? A three-masted schooner! It’s the historic Star of India, a square-rigged sailing vessel on which you’d expect an Errol Flynn movie to be set. In fact, old swashbuckler films are periodically shown, projected on the sails. The Star is one of three ships belonging to the San Diego Maritime Museum (234-9153). Tours of two other vessels also are offered: the lumbering ferry Berkeley, which rescued refugees during the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, and the Medea, a class-act private yacht originally owned by a wealthy Scotsman.
