SAN DIEGO CARWASH:
Body Beautiful Carwash, located on Hawthorne and Pacific Highway, is a great carwash with affordable prices. Best of all, you can enjoy the San Diego Bay views while you wait. Save up to $6 by visiting their Web site.
SAN DIEGO FISH AND CHIPS:
Tinfish, located downtown near Petco Park, is a great place to sit outside and enjoy fish and chips or fish tacos. The fish tacos are huge — one will be enough for most appetites. It’s a great lunchtime destination with your colleagues.
SAN DIEGO BREAKFAST WITH A VIEW:
For a scenic and serene breakfast, The Grill at the Lodge at Torrey Pines is the perfect place to enjoy waffles with your mimosas.
SAN DIEGO WINE BAR:
The 3rd Corner wine bar in Ocean Beach sells a wine called ‘barrel blend’ red wine, created by pro surfer Kyle Knox (Imperial Beach native) and the Hill family of Napa Valley.
QUICK FIXES:
Must-have menu item: Try the Duckaroni at Urban Solace — so delicious! Or the Nutella crêpe at Bleu Bohème in Kensington.
Happy-hour discovery: Two Splash Tuesdays at Splash Wine Bar, North Park. Buy a $5, $10 or $20 card toward wine samplings and get $5, $10 or $20 free.

Reader Comments:
For San Diego Fish & Chips, I would also recommend South Beach in Ocean Beach. They use wahoo and deep fry in fairly thin strips that dip nicely into the tartar sauce. Delicious!
