La Jolla Music Society presented SummerFest Gala 2009, “A Midsummer Night,” at the Robert Paine Scripps Forum at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Lael and Jay Kovtun were honorary chairs; Annika Kovtun was gala chair. Martha Dennis was SummerFest chair; Eleanor Ellsworth was vice chair. The evening was the culmination of LJMS’s summer festival, led by music director and violinist Cho-Liang Lin and president and artistic director Christopher Beach.
